The Mission
Kent SUP Racing has one goal...
To bring SUP racing to Kent by promoting racing, training and fitness locally.
We want to push you to become a better paddler through our sessions and events and give you a taste of what SUP Racing is all about.
SUP Racing has many benefits, and by working with our experienced delivery partner, Haywood Sports, you will gain the confidence to participate in races held locally and further afield.
SUP Racing 101
SUP Racing is more than just competition. It's a way to challenge yourself, a goal to aim for and a community of paddlers with a similar interest.
We will be hosting local events to give you a taste of what you can expect from the SUP Racing scene further afield.
The races will be a mix of disciplines making the most of our different locations. Expect flat water and coastal events covering distance and technical races.
Who can take part?
The races will cater to all with anyone welcome who wants to give it a go. For the more seasoned paddler, we are looking to build in a competitive structure through a Division system.
What equipment do I need?
Currently, you will need your own board, paddle and leash to take part. You should also bring a couple of clothing options so you can adjust to the conditions.

Who is...

Formed from the idea to bring progressive paddling to Kent by two SUP operations, Medway SUP and Haywood Sports.

Medway SUP runs tailored SUPventure tours for all abilities along the River Medway. They also offer SUP coaching sessions.
Medway SUP is run by Adrian Soper, who is embedded in the UK SUP Racing scene as one of the Directors for the GBSUP National Race Series.
After starting out racing in the Naish N1SCO GBSUP series, Adrian has now moved into the 14' class more recently.

Haywood Sports is a SUP coaching, and event business ran by husband and wife team Scott Warren and Lauren Newman-Warren. Specialising in performance paddling, SUP racing is a core element of their coaching, events and training operations.
Scott has been a regular on the UK SUP racing scene since 2012, competing regularly in the National Series. Lauren comes from a competitive athletic background, bringing her training knowledge into her competitive paddling and virtual events through 2020.
